While the 2025 opening timeframe has been in the plans for Wegmans upcoming Rockville location, including signage at the upcoming location, the grocery store officially announced that Rockville will be one of three new Wegmans stores opening in 2025 and May have given a clue as to when in 2025 we can expect it.
The new stores are under construction on Long Island (Nee York), in Connecticut, and in Maryland and they are all slated to open before the end of 2025. A more specific opening timeframe is not yet available, but the description for the Rockville store does state that it’s the “final store opening in 2025.”
Per Wegmans: The final store opening in 2025 will be in Rockville, Maryland. The 80,000 square foot store will also fill more than 500 part- and full-time positions. It will be our ninth store in Maryland. The store is part of the new Twinbrook Quarter Community and includes two levels of spacious parking below the store. Wegmans shoppers will get 90 minutes of free parking.
All three stores will feature the traditional departments Wegmans customers have come to know and love, including delicious restaurant foods (sushi, pizza, chef-made salads, and sandwiches), an abundant produce department with hundreds of different fruits and vegetables, and a wide variety of seafood, meat, bakery, deli, and cheese options. There will be drive through curbside loading lanes for all online grocery and Meals-To-Go order pickups. Each visit, customers can rely on Wegmans’ knowledgeable and caring employees to provide an unparalleled shopping experience. Store hours will be 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
