Ledo Pizza has been a staple in Maryland since the original Ledo Restaurant opened in Adelphi , MDN(Prince George’s County) in 1955. They are one of the first restaurants to introduce what we call “Maryland Style Pizza” to the area and recently they made a fun post on social media reminding customers that there’s no S in their name. Nearly 2,000 customers, some who have called the restaurant “Ledo’s” for years, responded on the original post and we have some of the most reacted to comments below:
• Stop playing with us Ledos!😅
• I was today years old when I learned this. 🤣
• The Mandela effect
• I’ve been calling it “Ledo’s” for almost 50 years. I was introduced to it by my grandparents who lived down the road from the original Adelphi location. They always called it “Ledo’s” and I will call it “Ledo’s” till they put me in the ground! 😃 (I plan to keep eating it that long, too.)
• It is always Ledo’s Pizza to me!
• Listen Ledo’s, we add S to things we love! It’s a ‘love letter’
• I beg your finest pardon? It’s Ledo’s and I won’t accept this gaslighting 😂
• My mom works there and I still call it “Ledo’s”. She does, too. 😭
• Change the name then 🤪
• I just passed my local “Ledo Pizza” in Laplata, MD and the sign off of 301 says “Ledo’s Pizza” my brain can’t handle this confusion 😩😭🤣
• Idk who told you that but you’re wrong…you should know better 😂
• I love Ledo’s social media folks. See! It works if you phrase it this way 😀
• The people have decided! ‘We don’t cut corners, but we do take umbrage with possessive contractions’ lol
• I feel attacked lol
• Unless I get 2 Ledo Pizzas!
• I guess we wouldn’t say Burger King’s either, so you are right lol
• That’s not what the entirety of the state of Maryland says
• No offense Ledos but no one says “We’re having Ledo Pizza for dinner.” They say, “we’re havin’ ledos for dinner!!”
