1:43pm UPDATE: MCPD officers have checked the area. The shelter in place at Georgian Forest Elementary has been lifted.
Per the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) at 1:23pm– “MCPD has responded to Georgian Forest Elementary (Silver Spring/Aspen Hill) for the report of a gun in the area. The school is currently on a shelter in place while officers confirm the validity of the report. More information will be released as it becomes available.”
