Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the scene of a crash involving a bus and pedestrian on Germantown Rd and Wisteria Dr. in Germantown on Thursday night.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, MCFRS evaluated a “person pinned beneath bus with traumatic, life-threatening injury.” A subsequent update by Piringer stated that the person was not transported to a hospital, meaning the collision was fatal.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is now handling the investigation. Per MCPD, “Westbound Germantown Road is closed between Wisteria Drive and Middlebrook Road due to a traffic collision. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.”
