Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) has responded to the area of Columbia Pike and Greencastle Rd. in Burtonsville for a collision involving a large tree falling on a vehicle.
According to MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, nobody is trapped inside the car following the large tree falling on it. The Montgomery County Police Departmenr (MCPD) issued the following traffic advisory at 8:32pm:
“A multi-vehicle collision involving a fallen tree has Columbia Pike closed at Greencastle Road. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect delays.” There is no word on the what caused the collision at this time.
