MerMagic Con, which describes itself as the world’s largest Mermaid convention, will take place Feb 28 – March 2nd, 2025 at the Silver Spring Recreation and Aquatic Center in Silver Spring, MD. h/t @pike.and.rozay
According to its website, MerMagic Con gathers individuals from various aspects of the mermaid industry, offering activities and programs designed for different ages and skill levels.
The event includes kids’ programming such as storytime, crafts, pirate and princess parties, and opportunities to meet and swim with mermaids. Adults can participate in classes like “Intro to Mermaiding,” mermaid tricks, underwater photography, and business and marketing workshops.
Additionally, professional workshops and certifications, including “Water Safety for Mermaids” and “Merwrangling 101 & 201,” are available for those in the industry. According to MermaidCon, the event aims to provide something for everyone with an interest in mermaiding.
