With 6-9” falling across most of the county and 5-12”+ in surrounding areas, just about every nearby school system has had back to back snow days. Now, the shift moves to Wednesday and the possibility of another closure or delay.
As of 1:45pm, many side streets and neighborhood roads in the county have not been plowed. Some school parking lots and sidewalks have been completely cleared while others still have plenty of work left to be done. With that said, there is still all day and the overnight hours to get things ready for school if the decision was made to have it tomorrow.
So what do I think? I haven’t been in town for this storm, and I return home tonight. From the reports I have received, things aren’t lookin great in some neighborhoods and at some schools. The decision is a countywide decision that has to take conditions everywhere in the county into account.
