Wiseguy Pizza has closed its location in the Wheaton Mall food court. The restaurant, which opened in September 2023, was the only Maryland location of the chain.
Wiseguy Pizza is known for its stone-deck oven-baked pizza by the slice, crafted with imported ingredients from Italy, homemade sauces, and dough made using a special water filtration system. Menu options included classics like Cheese and Pepperoni, as well as unique selections such as Paneer Tikki (House Masala, Paneer, Mozzarella, Onions, Tomato, Green & Chili Peppers, Cilantro, Jalapeño Sauce), Nashville Hot Chicken, Chicken Parmesan, and Whitestone (Garlic, Ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmigiano, Oregano, and Oil from Tuscany, Italy).
The Wheaton location’s closure leaves Wiseguy Pizza with its remaining locations in Washington, D.C., and Virginia. The brand was acquired in 2022 by Thompson Hospitality Group, which also operates restaurants like Matchbox (Bethesda, Rockville, and Silver Spring), Willie T’s Seafood Shack (Silver Spring), and previously, Austin Grill and American Tap Room in Montgomery County.
