A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued starting at 10pm this evening until 7am Saturday for DC, Central Maryland (including C/SW MoCo), and Northern Virginia.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), “Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. Light to moderate snow will overspread the area late this evening, then quickly come to an end Saturday morning.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Be prepared for slippery roads. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.”
