With the College Football Playoff wrapping up and the NFL Playoffs getting started, Eater DC put together a list of ‘Best Sports Bars in DC.’ While many of us have our own favorite spots, just one Maryland bar made the list– Sports & Social in Pike & Rose.
Sports & Social opened at 11800 Grand Park Ave. (Pike & Rose in North Bethesda) in August 2021. The restaurant/bar describes itself as a “premier dining, entertainment, sports viewing, and social concept located in high-profile entertainment and lifestyle districts, world-class casino resort destinations, and at the front door of professional sports stadiums around the country.”
In September 2023, it became Montgomery County’s first sportsbook and the 12th to receive its license in the state of Maryland. Eater writes that the “Pike & Rose complex upped its sports bar game in recent years with the arrival a game day headquarters. The 8,000-square-foot bar with an 18-foot LED display in the middle broadcasts multiple games at once, with on-site entertainment (Skee-ball, foosball, arcade games and Beirut) and a dog-friendly patio.”
