On November 20, 2024, the City of Gaithersburg Planning Commission approved the Final Site Plan application SP-9915-2024 for an upcoming 11,378 SF Whip Clean car wash at 353 Muddy Branch Rd in Gaithersburg’s Festival shopping center.
The car wash will be built in an empty lot that is located on Muddy Branch Rd, across from the existing Lotte Market, and next to the existing Best Friends Pet Resort. The shopping center is currently home to Planet Fitness, Family Dollar, and more.
Whip Clean opened its first location at 1956 Crain Hwy in Bowie in May 2017. That location was sold to Flagship Carwash in 2023. In addition to the upcoming Gaithersburg car wash, and an additional location in Severn, MD is also coming soon. According to its website, Whip Clean offers memberships ranging from $45-$84 monthly.
