The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced it is conducting a death investigation in the area of 2 Research Court (Sleep Inn) in Rockville on Friday, January 17, with details still emerging.
Early this morning, a separate death investigation was conducted after an MCPD officer discovered a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard and found a deceased individual inside. Shady Grove Road was closed in both directions at Corporate Boulevard, Key West Avenue, and Research Boulevard for several hours due to the investigation.
At this time, the relationship between the vehicle discovery and the investigation at 2 Research Court remains unclear. MCPD has stated that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
