bartaco has signed on to open its first Maryland location at 11886 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. It will be taking over the space that was previously home to Nada, which had a nearly eight year run that came to an end last September.
The news was first reported by @Pike.and.Rozay on Instagram, who shared that a sign just went up at the former Nada location indicating that bartaco was moving in. Job listings for general manager and executive chef are also currently active for the upcoming location on Indeed. A timeframe for the opening is not yet available.
bartaco has nearby locations in DC (Mt. Vernon and The Wharf) and Virginia (Ballston, Mosaic, Reston).
The restaurant is “inspired by the beach culture of brazil, uruguay and southern california. we are upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment. we are freshly-squeezed juices, specialty cocktails and beer out of a bottle. bartaco evokes a visit to a stylish beach resort and creates an unforgettable experience.”
