In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic’s significant challenges, DJs Victor Alvarez and Carlos Jimenez took advantage of their unexpected free time to chase a long-cherished dream. As the world came to a standstill, they dedicated themselves to making Big Papi’s taco restaurant a reality in the Industry Lane Business Park near Frederick. Now, the restaurant is coming to Montgomery County.
Since the opening of the Frederick restaurant, Big Papi’s has opened a Hagerstown location and announced an upcoming location in the South Alex Complex on North Kings Highway in Fairfax County. The upcoming Montgomery County restaurant will be located at 201 E Middle Ln in Rockville Town Center (the former home of Domoishi/Asian Food Hall).
Big Papi’s menu consists of items like carne asada tacos, quesabirria pizza, surf n turf tacos, walking tacos, birria egg rolls, buffalo wings, birria ramen, and a lot more. The restaurant is expected to open later this year, but a timeframe is not yet available.
