On January 27, at approximately 9:17 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the area of Maple Avenue and Grant Avenue for a report of a collision involving a 9-year-old juvenile bicyclist.
According to police, “the vehicle entering the intersection from the station onto Maple Avenue had the right of way when the bicyclist approached from Grant Avenue and made contact with the vehicle’s front passenger side. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for evaluation with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers remained on the scene until the child’s parents were notified and arrived. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
