BGR, which stands for “Burgers Grilled Right,” has closed its Germantown location at 20940-B Frederick Rd in the Neelsville Village Center. The location has been removed from the BGR website and is listed as permanently closed on Google. The last remaining BGR in Maryland is at 6250 Columbia Crossing Circle, Suite D in Columbia.
BGR’s original location opened in 2008 at 4827 Fairmont Ave. in Bethesda. That location closed in December 2022. An additional Montgomery County location at 229 Boardwalk Place in Gaithersburg’s Rio closed in the summer of 2022 after operating for ten years. A replacement for BGR has not yet been announced.

It was a humble beginning in a small space off of Woodmont Avenue but we made it our own. We didn’t have all the answers, we just knew we would make food that didn’t have any compromises. Food that was thought out, fresh, and deserving of our guests.”
