Commanders Given Good Odds to Land Myles Garrett Following Trade Request

All-Pro defensive end/edge rusher Myles Garrett requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns, where he has spent his whole career since being drafted with the first pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Today, he announced that he has requested a trade from Cleveland and the Washington Commanders are near the top of the list of teams who may acquire his services, according to Vegas oddsmakers at BetOnline.AG

The Washington Commanders are coming off of a Cinderella season, where they finished 12-5 in the regular season and won two playoff games to advance to the NFC Championship– ultimately losing to the Philadelphia Eagles. As an up and coming team with money to spend, the Commanders were given the second highest odds to land Garrett in a possible trade at 5/1. Check out a list of the eight teams with the highest odds to trade for Garrett:

Dallas Cowboys 4/1
Washington Commanders 5/1
Kansas City Chiefs 6/1
Las Vegas Raiders 7/1
San Francisco 49ers 8/1
Philadelphia Eagles 9/1
Buffalo Bills 10/1
Green Bay Packers 10/1

The Dallas Cowboys top the list with 4/1 odds, as Myles Garrett is from Arlington, TX– a Dallas suburb. He also played his college ball just a few hours away at Texas A&M, and many think that a return home to Dallas would be fitting. The Cowboys, however, have a premiere pass rusher of their own that’s set to become a free agent after next season in Micah Parsons.

The Chiefs and Eagles, who will battle it out on Sunday in the Super Bowl third and sixth respectively with 6/1 and 9/1 odds.
