The City of Gaithersburg, in partnership with The Peterson Companies and Rio Lakefront, will be hosting the 23rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade at rio, located at Rio Boulevard and Grand Corner Avenue.
Free parking will be available in three garages along Washingtonian Boulevard. The parade will feature dozens of units, including Celtic dancers, bagpipe bands, school groups, fire trucks, equestrian units, service organizations, costumed characters, and more.
Community groups and organizations are invited to join the fun and march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! It’s a fantastic way to engage with the community and showcase your group. Past participants have included Celtic dancers, bagpipe bands, school groups, clowns, fire trucks, equestrian units, service organizations, and more.
IMPORTANT: For the safety of young spectators, please designate responsible individuals to walk along the parade route and hand out candy or free items directly. Tossing or placing candy along the parade route is prohibited, as it may encourage children to run into the street, putting them at risk.
