Increased Projected Snow Totals By the National Weather Service

The National Weather Service (NWS) has increased the expected snow totals for the Tuesday/Wednesday storm, as the Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for the area from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning.

The entire area is now under a ‘Significant Snow Risk’, which means “Heavy snow and/or sleet accumulation will result in widespread travel disruptions.” The storm is expected to start on Tuesday afternoon and continue until Wednesday morning.

The increased ‘Expected Snowfall’ map shows 5 inches for most of the area with the ‘High End Amount’ map (10% chance) showing 9-11 inches and the ‘Low End Amount’ map (10% chance) now 2-3 inches for the area.
