This Valentine’s Day, the Maryland Zoo is giving you the opportunity to “turn heartbreak into hilarity.” The Zoo shares, “For $5, you can name a pile of animal dung after your ex. It’s the perfect way to talk smack while supporting animal care and conservation.”
While it may sound silly, your dung donation has a deeper meaning and a real-world impact. The Maryland Zoo writes that they’re “home to over 1,000 animals, including critically-endangered species like Panamanian golden frogs and African penguins. Dung dollars support vital conservation efforts here at the Maryland Zoo and in native habitats around the world. Even a small pile of… cash will have a BIG impact on wildlife and wild places.”
So go ahead, make a stink– for a good cause! You can donate here, at tiers ranging from $5-$20 (or more). Those donating will receive a fun PDF certificate to commemorate their philanthropic vengeance.
