Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at a two-story single-family home on Valley Oak Drive in Rockville on Thursday afternoon.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire originated in a second-floor bedroom and extended into the attic. Two occupants safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. One family will be displaced.
