Identity Released in Fatal Olney Collision

The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating a fatal collision on February 19, 2025, in which 56-year-old Isadore Morton Gudelsky of Bethesda died after his Lexus was struck by a Jeep Wrangler on Olney Sandy Spring Road.

According to MCPD, “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The decedent has been identified as 56-year-old Isadore Morton Gudelsky of Bethesda.

At approximately 2:38 p.m., a blue 2013 Lexus RSX350 was exiting the assisted living facility in the 2600 block of Olney Sandy Spring Road when it was struck by a green 2019 Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound on Olney Sandy Spring Road.

Upon arrival, 4th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue located Gudelsky pinned and unresponsive. Gudelsky was extricated from the Lexus and transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, where he later died. An adult female passenger was also transported with non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile male driver of the Jeep was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. CRU detectives are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call (240) 773-6620.”
