Congressional Village Plaza will host a grand opening event on March 1, 2025, at 1701 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
The celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon, a K-pop performance at 2:00 p.m., and a late-night karaoke party at Kanpai at 9:00 p.m. Attendees can participate in a raffle by collecting stamps from newly opened businesses, including Meow Claw, Okaeri Japanese Café, Kanpai, Kajiken, and Uzu Sushi, for a chance to win a grand prize worth over $2,000. A “Wheel of Fortune” game will also offer additional prizes to those who tag the event on Instagram.
The IVEA restaurant group and Chicago-based Windfall Group LLC bought the Shops at Congressional Village shopping center in an auction in 2022 for $44 million.
