Police Investigating Fatal Collision on Whites Ferry Road; Identity of Victim Released

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on February 21, 2025, in which 51-year-old Marcos Anton Solorzano Ramirez of Gaithersburg was pronounced dead at the scene after his Acura Integra collided with a Ford Transit van on Whites Ferry Road near Partnership Road in Poolesville.

According to MCPD, “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Friday, February 21, 2025. The decedent has been identified as 51-year-old Marcos Anton Solorzano Ramirez of Gaithersburg.

At approximately 6:03 p.m., a green 2000 Acura Integra was traveling eastbound on Whites Ferry Road when, for reasons still under investigation, it collided with a white 2023 Ford Transit van that was traveling westbound on Whites Ferry Road near the intersection of Partnership Road.

Upon arrival, 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue located Ramirez and pronounced him dead on the scene. The adult male driver of the white Ford remained on the scene with no reported injuries.
