Two Arrested in Connection with Montgomery Village Homicide

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced the arrest of  two suspects in connection with the September 2024 shooting death of Antoine Lavale Parker that occurred in the 18500 block of Boysenberry Drive in Montgomery Village.

According to MCPD, “On Sunday, September 22, 2024, at approximately 11:24 a.m., officers from the 6th District responded to a reported shooting and discovered Parker inside his apartment suffering from gunshot wounds.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 65-year-old Erick Darryl West of Gaithersburg and 45-year-old Daryl James Howard as suspects.

On Friday, December 20, 2024, investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at Howard’s residence, leading to firearm related charges. On February 26, 2025, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Howard, charging him with first-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on unrelated charges.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for West, also charging him with first-degree murder. On February 26, a search warrant was executed at his residence, and he was taken into custody without incident.

West is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit without bond.”
