The National Weather Service (NWS) has put out a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of eastern West Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland.
Per the NWS, “Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail are possible on Wednesday. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out as well. Strong west to northwest winds are possible on Thursday behind a strong cold front.” Additional information per the NWS below:
- Two rounds of severe thunderstorms possible.
Hazards include damaging wind, large hail, & isolated tornadoes - Round 1 – Wednesday Morning through mid-Afternoon.
- Round 2 – Late Wednesday afternoon and evening.
