Replacement for Jose Andres’ Spanish Diner Signs On

Chef José Andrés’ Spanish Diner closed its doors on Wednesday, February 5. Located at 7271 Woodmont Avenue in Federal Realty’s Bethesda Row, the restaurant opened in Spring 2021 and previously housed Jaleo, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Now, new signage has appeared announcing its replacement—Sephora.

Sephora, one of the world’s leading beauty retail brands, currently operates nearby locations in Montgomery Mall (Bethesda), The Shops at Wisconsin Place (Chevy Chase) , and Pike & Rose (North Bethesda). All three of those locations are not expected to be affected by the opening of the Bethesda Row store later this year.

A representative from Federal Realty confirmed Robert Dyer’s report of the upcoming opening and shared that signage has gone up in the windows of the former Spanish Diner/Jaleo space. More about Sephora, by the company, can be seen below:
