The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a multi-jurisdictional prescription fraud case involving an unidentified female suspect who has allegedly been picking up medications under other people’s names since March 2024.
Detectives have released surveillance images and are asking for the public’s help in identifying her, with a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her arrest.
“Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Special Investigation Division are investigating a case of multi-jurisdictional prescription fraud. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying her.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that, since March 2024, an unidentified female suspect has been fraudulently picking up prescribed medications under other people’s names. The suspect obtained prescription medication from six different pharmacies, including Safeway and CVS locations in the District of Columbia, Arlington, Alexandria, and Kensington. Surveillance photos show the suspect at the prescription counter at several Safeway and CVS locations.
