Earlier this month, we reported that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was filming a television series, possibly Kitchen Nightmares or a similar show, at Callahan’s Seafood Bar & Grill (1808 Rosemont Ave.) in Frederick. It has now been confirmed that Ramsay also recently filmed an episode at MacGregor’s Restaurant and Tavern in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
Established in 1987, MacGregor’s has been serving “upscale-casual American and seafood-focused fare for over 35 years.” Located on the waterfront of the Susquehanna River in historic Havre de Grace, the restaurant’s menu features items such as crab cakes, BBQ brisket, stuffed flounder, and steak frites.
According to CBS Baltimore, Ramsay and a large film crew were working in and around MacGregor’s Restaurant and Tavern, starting on Saturday, March 8. On March 15, MacGregor’s announced, “We are officially open to the public and are looking forward to sharing all of our exciting changes with you! We are loving every single thing and hope you do too!”
“Kitchen Nightmares” is a popular reality TV show where Ramsay visits struggling restaurants across the country to help turn them around. Known for his fiery temperament and culinary expertise, Ramsay works with restaurant owners to revamp their menus, improve service, and reinvigorate their businesses. The show combines intense drama with inspiring transformations, showcasing Ramsay’s ability to bring out the best in both people and their establishments. We have been told that the show is either Kitchen Nightmares or one with a similar premise.
Beyond his television endeavors, Ramsay has also made a mark on the D.C. dining scene with the opening of three restaurants– Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Street Pizza, and Hell’s Kitchen. Who is that talking about Montgomery County in the video below?
