“Spider-Man” Busted for $10K Burglary at Gaming Store

A Silver Spring man was arrested on March 19, 2025, for allegedly burglarizing Gaming Giant on March 15 while dressed in a Spider-Man costume and stealing approximately $10,000 worth of merchandise.

According to the City of Fairfax Police, “March 15, 2025, at approximately 11:01 a.m., the City of Fairfax Police responded to 4021 University Drive (Gaming Giant) for the report of a burglary that occurred overnight. Investigation revealed that an unknown male dressed in a Spiderman costume forced entry into the business and stole approximately $10,000 worth of merchandise. With the assistance of community members, the Criminal Investigations Division was able to identify the suspect and obtain a warrant.

On March 19, 2025, Joel Brown, 20, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was served his warrant for Burglary (18.2-89).
