Radio station Hot 99.5 (WIHT FM) is currently running its annual “Best High School in the DMV” contest on Instagram and the finals are happening today with one Maryland high school and one Virginia high school in the finals!
Six Montgomery County high schools to made the “Sweet 16” of the tournament– Montgomery Blair, Northwest, Northwood, Rockville, Wheaton, and Quince Orchard– but Northwest High School, in Germantown, has advanced to make it to the finals. They’re going up against Lake Braddock High School, located in Burke. VA.
The schools included in the tournament were selected after receiving the most nominations and the winning high school will be awarded with $1,000. Voting takes place in Hot 99.5’s Instagram page’s stories. Hot 99.5 (WIHT) broadcasts out of the IHeartMedia studios at 1801 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
