Restaurant Hosting “Squid Game” Inspired Wing Eating Competition

Bonchon, located at 107 Gibbs Street in Rockville, will hold a “Squid Game Wing Eating Competition” on Saturday, April 5.

According to the restaurant, “This competition will follow a “Red Light, Green Light” format. When Hosts calls out “Red Light” participants must immediately stop eating and moving. Failure to stop will end in disqualification and might get sprayed with water. When Hosts calls out “Green Light” that’s when participants can move again. We will pick and notify five contestants for spicy and five contestants for soy garlic wings. Each player must eat 8 wings. First person to finish eating all 8 wings without getting taken out at the “Red lights,” wins!”

The competitive food eating contest is open for amateurs 18+ and the 1st place winners in each group will receive a $100 gift certificate. Spectators that dress up in green track suits inspired by Squid Game will receive a tote bag with “a mystery Bonchon Rockville money amount.”
