Rockville Science Day, Montgomery County’s largest STEM festival, will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from noon to 5:00 PM at Montgomery College in Rockville, featuring over 115 exhibitors and interactive science activities for all ages.
According to the Rockville Science Center, “There’s no better local opportunity to see science in action than at the 34th annual Rockville Science Day on Sunday, April 27, noon – 5:00 PM. With a record number of exhibitors (115 and counting) and an expected crowd of 4,000+ visitors, Rockville Science Day is the largest STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) festival in Montgomery County. The event brings together exhibitors from the public and private sectors, along with local nonprofits and community groups for one exciting day of STEM learning and exploration. Rockville Science Day is free and takes place at Montgomery College (51 Mannakee St, Rockville, MD 20850).
Visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in exhibits, activities, games and demos including rocket-building (and launching), telescope viewing, all kinds of robots, an enigma machine, backyard wildlife, ship models, microscopes, stream critters, coding challenges, math puzzles, chemistry in action (flames, explosions & reactions), electric vehicle demos, quadcopters, archaeology mini-digs, 3D printing, and much more!
Exhibitors who will be in attendance include: NIH, NASA, NIST, NSA’s National Cryptologic Museum, National Capital Astronomers, US Pharmacopeia, Adventist HealthCare, Excelior Lab, Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC, Croyden Creek Nature Center, the Chemical Society of Washington, University of Maryland, The George Washington University, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin, Glen Echo Park Aquarium, award-winning high school robotics teams, NARHAMS Model Rocket Club, Montgomery County Beekeepers Association, and many more.
Admission and parking are free. Food will be available for purchase. The event is rain or shine.
