Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call on Thursday, April 3, for a sick person on Ruatan Street in Takoma Park.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, a carbon monoxide detector carried by first responders alerted them to a CO leak. Firefighters rescued two unconscious children and one conscious adult from the building, all of whom were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning.
