The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred in the 300 block of Travis Avenue in Gaithersburg.
According to MCPD, “On Sunday, April 6, 2025, at approximately 12:04 a.m., a black Ford Mustang crashed into a tree at the location. Officers from Montgomery County and Gaithersburg Police, along with Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location where they pronounced an adult male driver dead at the scene. The adult female passenger was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this fatal collision, and more information will be released as it becomes available, including the name of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.”
