Duke’s Grocery, a London-inspired gastropub, has officially opened its first location outside of DC in Montgomery County’s Potomac Village. With the opening, Duke’s introduces Maryland to its signature “Proper Burger,” consistently ranked among the best burgers in DC and a multiple-time winner of “Best Burger in DC” competitions. The restaurant is located at 10128 River Road in the space previously occupied by Lock 72 Kitchen & Bar in the Potomac Village shopping center. For now, the restaurant opens daily at 4pm. Brunch will begin on Saturday, April 19th at 11:30am and the restaurant will start opening for lunch on Monday, April 21st.
Menu items include “Duke’s Grocery staples such as massive sarnies (sandwiches), seasonal bevvies (cocktails), hearty salads, local beers, and a robust wine list alongside crowd favourites such as the Proper Burger, white truffle mac and cheese, fish and chips, and full English breakfasts during brunch.”
