Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to a garage fire at a single-family home on Piney Meetinghouse Court in Potomac around 4:30am on Sunday.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire originated from a wall outlet that was used to charge an electric vehicle. The incident caused approximately $80,000 in damage and displaced two adults. No injuries were reported, and about 50 firefighters responded to the scene.
