Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a serious collision near the intersection of southbound Rt. 355 and W. Deer Park Rd. shortly before noon on Wednesday.
The incident, which occurred close to S. Frederick Ave. (Rt. 355), necessitated a temporary closure of the intersection and W. Deer Park Rd. access onto Rt. 355. The temporary traffic disruption led officials to advise motorists to use an alternate route while emergency crews managed the scene.
All roads were reopened by 12:15 pm, with slight delays lasting a little longer. Further details regarding the nature of the injuries or the cause of the collision were not immediately available.
