A vehicle fire on northbound I-270 near the I-370 interchange (Exit 9) in Montgomery County, MD, has resulted in significant lane blockages and traffic delays on Wednesday afternoon.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) spokesperson Pete Piringer reported that vehicles PE732 and PRS703 are on scene managing the incident.
According to MATOC, three right lanes are blocked, while one left lane remains open for passing traffic; local lanes are not affected. Motorists are experiencing delays extending approximately three miles.
