Last week, we reported that Michelin-recommended Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings and Shiki Fusion would be joining the Montgomery Mall Food Terrace, and we now have more details on both– including a chef-curated omakase tasting menu that will be offered at Shiki Fusion. The restaurants aim to open by the end of summer.
Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings, a New York-based restaurant will open in the former Urban Plates space next to Shake Shack and will be the only sit-down restaurant in the food court. Known for its Shanghainese dim sum and Jiangsu-Zhejiang cuisine, the menu includes a wide variety of soup dumplings (including pork, chicken, crab & pork, truffle, scallop, ham, and abalone), sampler sets like Lucky Six and Three Treasures, as well as cold dishes, noodles, rice plates, soups, and desserts like Ube Red Bean Bao. Renderings of the restaurant can be seen below.
Shiki Fusion, blending Japanese precision with Thai passion, will serve premium seafood, organic herbs, and high-quality spices. Located above Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings and across from the AMC movie theater, the restaurant promises a “unique culinary experience combining the refined artistry of Japanese cuisine with the bold, vibrant flavors of Thailand.” The menu will feature fresh sushi, flavorful Thai dishes, and a chef-curated omakase tasting menu. Guests can expect a warm, elegant atmosphere that merges minimalist Japanese design with Thai-inspired accents. Highlights will include daily-sourced ingredients, weekday happy hour specials, and late-night bites.
