Montgomery County is hosting a “Spring Fling” dog adoption event on May 10 & 11, 2025, at the Animal Services & Adoption Center (7315 Muncaster Mill Rd) in Derwood, offering free adoptions for dogs over 30 pounds.
Adoptions are first-come, first-served, and fees are covered by Friends of Montgomery County Animals, with details available on the MCASAC website. The shelter faces overcapacity and urges pet owners to consider alternatives before surrendering animals.
