The Gaithersburg Police Department has issued a notice regarding several upcoming road closures due to major rail construction work by CSX.
Effective today until Friday, the Railroad Crossing at Railroad Street will be closed. Motorists are advised to plan alternative travel routes until work is completed. Additional closures have been scheduled for the following dates:
• Railroad Street: May 12-16
• Chestnut Street: May 19-22
• Summit Avenue: June 11-13
Authorities recommend that commuters verify these schedules and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
