Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house/log cabin fire in the 18500 block of Beallsville Road in Poolesville on Friday afternoon.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was located on the second floor and was quickly controlled by the home’s residential sprinkler system. More than 45 firefighters responded to the scene. No injuries were reported, and two cats were rescued. Damage to the structure and its contents was minimal.
