Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department are investigating a shooting and assault that occurred Saturday night on Bureau Drive, where two men sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being attacked by a group, with evidence of a shooting also recovered at the scene.
According to Gaithersburg Police, “On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at approximately 6:58 p.m., officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department and the Montgomery County Police Department – 6th District responded to the unit block of Bureau Drive for a report of a shooting.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a group of four to six individuals, for reasons still under investigation, assaulted two adult male victims, causing blunt force trauma to their heads. The suspects fled the area on foot in the direction of Quince Orchard Road and Clopper Road. Evidence of a shooting was also recovered at the scene.
The two victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
