Green Bamboo, Known For Its 50% Off Sushi on Weekends Special, Has Closed Permanently

Green Bamboo Asian Bistro, located at 5751 Fishers Ln. in Rockville, MD, has permanently closed its doors. Known for its relaxed, family-run ambiance, the bistro delighted diners with an array of Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes. One of its most celebrated attractions was the popular weekend special– 50% off sushi. A new restaurant will soon be taking its place.

In addition to its renowned sushi special, Green Bamboo offered a comprehensive menu featuring classic Chinese entrees such as General Tso’s Chicken and Mongolian Beef, alongside fragrant Thai curries, stir-fried noodles, and hibachi options as part of its Japanese offerings. For the past 15 years, the restaurant served as a cherished dining destination for locals and visitors alike.

“Green Bamboo is now PERMANENTLY closed. The owners of Green Bamboo will be retiring, and new owners will be renovating the restaurant space and will be open soon! We would like to thank all of our customers that have dined with us for the past 15 years. Thank you!” the restaurant stated.

While the current chapter of Green Bamboo has concluded, the upcoming renovations by new owners promise to bring a fresh start to the space. We will provide updates and additional information as soon as it’s available.
