$1 Million Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Maryland

A Powerball ticket sold at a Safeway in Parkville matched five numbers in the June 2 drawing, making it Maryland’s first $1 million Powerball winner of 2025. Full story below courtesy MD Lottery:

“Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Parkville for last night’s drawing is Maryland’s first $1 million Powerball winner in 2025.

The numbers for the June 2 drawing were 1, 7, 44, 57 and 61 with a Powerball of 21.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Safeway store at 8858 Waltham Woods Road. For selling the second-tier winning ticket, the Baltimore County retailer picks up a $2,500 Lottery bonus.

Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe location. The player has 182 days after the date of the drawing to claim the prize.

The Powerball jackpot worth $204.5 million was hit on May 31 in California. Since there were no jackpot winners in last night’s drawing, the jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity of $30 million for the June 4 drawing.”
