Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded early Wednesday morning around 1:45 a.m. to the 3400 block of Robey Terrace in Burtonsville for an automatic fire alarm.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, a small fire in a second-floor bedroom was controlled by the sprinkler system and fully extinguished by firefighters. One occupant sustained a minor injury, was evaluated by EMS, and declined transport. Multiple units assisted on scene. The fire caused approximately $65,000 in damage and displaced one person.
