Brew Belly at 18065 Georgia Ave in Olney has announced it will be holding its annual “Cheesesteak Eating Contest” on Thursday, July 4. The winner of the contest will win free cheesesteaks from the restaurant for one year.
The first person to finish a 2-pound “Wiz Wit” footlong cheesesteak will be crowned the Brew Belly Grand Champion and will receive 1 free cheesesteak per week for 52 weeks. In addition to the eating competition, Brew Belly will also be hosting a dog adoption and fundraising event with Hero Dogs.
Brew Belly is known for its cheesesteaks, offering unique combinations like the “Scout Style” with American cheese, lettuce, pickles, fried onions, and Everything Bagel spice, and the “Seoul Style” with mushrooms, soy-hoisin sauce, chile mayo, and pickles. The menu also features poutine, wings, and loaded hot dogs like the “Chili Dog” and “Eloté Dog.” Brew Belly also offers a rotating selection of 24 locally focused beers on tap.
