In response to recent developments overseas, the Montgomery County Department of Police is in regular contact with local, state, and federal partners. While there is no known threat to our area, we are taking proactive steps to ensure the continued safety of all residents.
We recognize the diversity of our community and the significance of these events for many of our neighbors.
We are in close contact with faith leaders and religious organizations across the county. Out of an abundance of caution, officers will maintain visibility around religious institutions and places of worship.
We encourage everyone to stay alert and report any suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1 or the non emergency number at 301-279-8000.
