MoCo Native Karen Potts Continues to Impress on American Ninja Warrior

Karen Potts, a rising athletic talent from North Potomac, Maryland, has made a name for herself not only in collegiate sports but also on the demanding obstacle courses of American Ninja Warrior (video below). Currently a rising junior at Case Western Reserve University, Potts’s journey showcases dedication, strength, and a passion for competition.

Potts’ roots in athleticism run deep in Montgomery County. She honed her skills at Wootton High School in Rockville, MD, where she was a formidable multi-sport athlete. Throughout her four years at Wootton, she was a key member of the softball team, even serving as team captain in her senior year. Beyond the diamond, Potts also showcased her versatility on the court and field, playing both basketball and soccer. This diverse athletic background undoubtedly contributed to the well-rounded physical capabilities she displays on the Ninja Warrior course.

Her collegiate career continues this impressive trend. At Case Western Reserve University, Karen is a dedicated member of the softball team, balancing her academic pursuits with the rigors of high-level athletics.
However, it’s her appearances on American Ninja Warrior that have brought her national recognition.

Potts has been a consistent presence on the show, competing in multiple seasons, including Season 16 where she demonstrated remarkable prowess by advancing to the semifinals and then impressively reaching the national finals. Her strong performances have cemented her as a competitor to watch, and she is currently competing in Season 17. Her journey into the world of “ninja” competition began even earlier, as she also competed on American Ninja Warrior Junior.
